Forum: forums Subject: MARC xml-another beginner question

Hi,

I figured out last month's issues of how to use metatdata elements properly, but now I seem to have one question before I can launch my college newspapers.....How do I get my MARCXML file to attach to the posting, a la https://archive.org/details/montanahistorica00mont1986rich

I've looked through their index and I just can't figure it out. Where/when do I link/upload the marcxml?

Thanks in advance, sorry for the simplicity of my question.

for MARCXML you just need to name it properly and upload it with the original files. the derive task will automatically populate the item with it's metadata during that task.

the MARCMXL file name should use the item id followed by _marc.xml

so for https://archive.org/details/montanahistorica00mont1986rich you would name the file montanahistorica00mont1986rich_marc.xml
